A great way to preserve equity in your property when selling in a tightening real estate market is to save money on commissions and sell the property yourself. You will still want exposure to your local MLS and one option to get that exposure is a $500 Flat Fee Listing from AAA Properties . Make sure to offer any broker or agent who brings a buyer a good commission so that they have incentive to show and help sell your house. Of course if you sell it by yourself, you pay no commissions at all. |

According to an article the other day in the Seattle Times , local home prices have decreased four months in a row and have returned to 2006 price levels. This is no surprise to me, as I believe the local market is still greatly overvalued. I think we still have a long way to go before local home values are at reasonable levels. One way that a home seller can help preserve their shrinking equity is by showing and selling their own home with a flat fee listing by AAA Properties. For $500 you get your property listed on the NWMLS (the same service used by thousands of local professionals to locate homes for their clients) for as long as you like, an electronic lock box so that those agents and/or Realtors can show your home, a nice looking yard sign and quality digital photographs. If you want to sell your property in Washington state and would like to preserve your equity, give AAA Properties a call today. 425-455-5478 or 800-441-LIST. |

This post was written by Joe Kennedy, Broker with AAA Properties and Publisher of Eastside Business newspaper and online news site and first appeared on the Eastside Business Blog. It’s (almost) funny how the REALTORS® are trying to blame the real estate market (local and national) on the media. Almost funny, but more embarrassing, because in addition to being a member of “the media”, I am actually a dues paying member of the Seattle King County Association of Realtors, Washington Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, North San Diego Association of Realtors and California Association of Realtors - at least until my membership expires at the end of this year. I don’t think that I will be renewing my memberships and helping them pay for their smear the media campaign. |

This listing is for a brand new 3 bedroom, 2 bath home on a huge (larger than 1 acre) corner lot. Check back here for more details and pictures on Saturday. If you have a house or condo in the Seattle or San Diego areas that you are considering selling, think about using a $500 Flat Fee Listing from AAA Properties. $500 Flat Fee Listings include: ♦ Your home listed on the MLS within 4 hours of paperwork being completed ♦ Beautiful AAA Properties yard sign. (in most areas) ♦ MLS Lockbox so thousands of agents and REALTORS® can show and sell your home. ♦ Your house will be seen on Realtor.com , Redfin.com , JohnLScott.com, Windermere.com and all the major real estate sites that get most of the home search web traffic. ♦ If your property is located on the Eastside, your property will be advertised free of charge in Eastside Business newspaper (1-3 insertions - value up to $1000.) We suggest that you also take advantage of FREE advertising at Craigslist, Google Base , Trulia , and Zillow. We can direct you how to do it for free, or we can take care of it for an extra $100. Please note that Sellers are recommended to offer a full 3% sales commission to the Selling Broker (buyer's agent). This helps ensure that your property will be seen by the maximum possible buyers. |
